My Penis and Everyone Else’s
This is a wonderful Documentary that at first seemed rather dry, but as it progressed, some fascinating discussions and occurances happened. Ranging from discussions with sex therapists, to some blokes in the barber shop; this documentary exposes some societal judgments of the male genitals. This is a topic I would like to discuss further.
throughout this documentary, I noticed that there was not a mass understanding of a normal size penis. While discussing with women, it was apparent that everyone had a different understanding of what size and shape they considered normal. Without a critical mind, this is could easily be understood as “I am not good enough for all women, because I don’t meet the preferences mentioned in conversations I have been able to hear.” This is a part of a larger conversation that feminists call “body-positive”. While women should be able to look at themselves in a positive way, this documentary shows a body-positive mindset needs to happen with men, in regards to their penis. Before anything else, appreciate what you have. Otherwise you will be stuck in a negative cycle of discontent.
